All-rounder wanted for poultry farm with vegetable growing (Saxony)

Hello! I'm Sven. In 2015 I took the plunge myself and started out in agriculture as a complete career changer. Today we run our poultry farm in Arnsdorf (near Penig, conveniently located between Chemnitz and Leipzig) with passion, our own farm shop and plenty of fresh ideas. We're not a rigid, organic-certified large operation, but a modern, transparent family business where animal welfare, colourful egg colours and regional diversity come first. I'm not looking for a highly specialised skilled worker, but a kind of "co-pilot" or a helping hand – someone who's up for the reality of country life, thinks along and can pitch in in many ways. Here's where you can get stuck in: • Hands-on animal husbandry: Daily care of our free-range chickens (we fully rely on dual-purpose chickens!), ducks and geese. • Vegetable growing & direct marketing: Support in our vegetable and herb growing for the farm shop and in preparing our products. • Farm maintenance: If you're handy, have a knack for repairs or enjoy working with wood and tools, you'll be able to let off steam here. There's always a building or a project to look after. What you should bring: You don't have to be a farmer – I wasn't one before either! What matters to me is common sense, reliability, basic handyman skills and that you're not afraid of dirty hands and the weather. Whether you drop in as a helper for a few weeks or come from the region and are looking for a flexible mini-job: We're absolutely open when it comes to working hours and will find the right arrangement.
