The wild garden invites you to relax. The farmhouse is 200 years old and not renovated/insulated. Most guests find it romantic and cosy, though. Only the shared rooms on the ground floor (kitchen-living room, the bathroom, the guest toilet and a small office) are heated by radiators. The kitchen is additionally heated with a tiled stove and wood-burning stove. The free bedroom (see photos: in white), which I offer free of charge in exchange for help, is located with the other bedrooms on the first floor and is not heated. We go to bed with hot water bottles, just like our ancestors used to. Since I have two (heatable) living/play rooms behind the kitchen that I can retreat to in winter, you could “spread out” in the kitchen-living room and the office (reading, laptop, crafting etc.). In summer it's nice and cool in the house, as long as you don't forget to close the shutters when the sun is strong. Very good location with shopping facilities, lakes, forest (walking distance) and connected by public transport (mountain hiking, snowshoe hiking, nearest ski slope reachable within 20 minutes by public bus.) In return, I would like help around the house (cleaning, possibly small repairs or tidying) and in the garden, and perhaps playing, crafting and doing hands-on projects with the grandchildren at weekends and during the holidays. For example, once a week 4 h (big clean) and otherwise on 4 further days per week approx. 2 to a maximum of 3 h each. I look forward to hearing from you. Best wishes Irma
