Hi, everyone! The two of us (w51 & w11) are looking for a volunteer placement for the 2025 summer vacation (approx. Aug. 9–23), we’re looking for a work exchange for 14–21 days at a farm, horse ranch, or sustainable living community—or any other type of accommodation where we can lend a hand. We’ve already done several work exchange stays in Germany and are now looking for a spot for summer 2025 in or around Contis, France, since friends of ours will be staying at a campground there. We have acceptable to good French language skills (the child’s father is French). English is better, and German goes without saying. I’m a marketing specialist, and so far I’ve, among other things, removed moss and applied a fresh coat of varnish to a treehouse, cleared a garden of overgrown vegetation, weeded paved areas, done stable work at a horse farm, and spruced up rooms. I’m good with my hands, get along well with animals, and don’t mind getting my hands dirty. Otherwise, of course, I’m open to any marketing-related tasks. Our daughter loves animals and everything related to them. Mucking out, cleaning, feeding, leading—no problem at all. She also enjoys tidying up and taking care of younger children. We’ve had a share in a horse for 6 years, so we have a solid basic understanding of horse care. We have a large dog, but we’d leave him at home, so she shouldn’t have any reservations about that either. We probably won’t have a car, so the location should be reasonably accessible by train, plane, or public transportation. Otherwise, we’re flexible about where and what the work involves. Who has room and work for us?
