Hello, my husband and I have been in Hungary for a year, living with families or people who can use help in everyday life. Whether it's help around the house or simply shopping, cooking or cleaning, those are the kinds of tasks I'm happy to do instead of paying a classic rent. We provide our own food, I work online, and we are an open-minded couple who would like to experience Hungary for longer and perhaps find a forever home later. We don't know yet whether we'll stay in Hungary, but for now we're here. We don't have a big family ourselves, and it would be lovely to stay with a family we get along well with. I'm sure there's someone out there who harmonises with the two of us and can also respect privacy and boundaries. A respectful way of living together, giving and taking in harmony and balance – that would be lovely. • My husband is skilled with his hands and can also help out in this area. • I'm happy to help in the household or look after your pets or small children. We don't have children ourselves, but two cats and a dog we adopted travel with us. • We don't have a driving licence and do everything by bus and train or bicycle. We'd like to get our driving licence here in Hungary at some point, i.e. finish it. But that's still in the future. • We both really like animals; caring for farm animals would be nice too, but everything within reason. :-) I really like horses and goats, but dogs and cats are our favourites too. • We're looking for something for a minimum of one year or longer if it's a good fit. • Close to nature and fond of gardening, natural gardens, permaculture, a little spiritual but not over the top. • We eat meat, so you should be okay with that, and my husband is a smoker but knows how to behave and smokes outside the door. Haha.. • I'm a quiet person who also likes to withdraw sometimes, I don't always need to be in the spotlight; my husband, on the other hand, is a good conversation partner on all kinds of topics, but can also be quiet and withdraw at times. :-) • COMING WITH US: our dog Luca, 7 years old, gets along very well with all dogs and animals and with children, plus our two cats – one is an outdoor cat and the other, still young, stays more with us on the leash. We have to move out of where we currently live soon, which is why we're looking for something longer-term, minimum one year. Maybe we'll be celebrating Christmas together soon? Hmm...
