We live with many animals on an old farmstead dating back to 1848 in the Dümmer/Weserland region. Parts of this Lower Saxon hall house are still in their original condition and exude the charm of long-gone farming traditions. Our 11 llamas and 27 alpacas graze in the pastures surrounding the farmhouse. We rent out our spacious circus wagon to friendly guests from all over the world who come here to find peace and relaxation. The wagon shares the pasture with our llamas and alpacas, which graze and rest there during the day. In addition to breeding llamas and alpacas, we offer animal-assisted activities, such as hikes in the surrounding area. Our farm store is open on Fridays, where we sell items such as comforters made from sustainable alpaca wool. Many other animals live on the farm: dogs, cats, ducks, geese, chickens, and, in the summer, giant tortoises. There’s also plenty to do, and we’re looking forward to welcoming volunteers who’d like to lend a hand and join us for a while. For this, a nostalgic American RV with two spacious sleeping areas, a kitchen, a refrigerator, and a composting toilet is available on a small pasture. 5/ 5Ich verbrachte 2023 und 2024 jeweils zwei Wochen auf dem Alpakahof bei Oli und Isolde und komme auf jeden Fall gerne wieder. Die anfallenden Aufgaben sind sehr gut zu bewältigen, so dass genug Zeit bleibt, um die umliegende Natur zu erkunden, Ausflüge zu unternehmen oder einfach auf dem Hof die Seele baumeln zu lassen, zu lesen, die Tiere zu beobachten, abzuschalten.... Ob Hilfe im Garten, im Stall, bei der täglichen Versorgung der Tiere, kreative Projekte, kleinere Reparaturarbeiten, Mithilfe bei Veranstaltungen.....da ist für jeden etwas dabei und es macht jede Menge Spaß! Die Unterkunft im Wohn- oder im Schäferwagen bietet alles, was man braucht als Naturfreund und tut wahnsinnig gut zum reizüberfluteten Alltag.
