I live in Kassel, work as a teacher, have children, but live separated, and am looking this way for an opportunity for me and my daughter (8) to be somewhere else for a change, to help people and to do something together. Classic hotel holidays aren't really our thing. We like nature and wild gardens, are used to animals, my daughter loves to paint, I enjoy playing the piano, and we lived in an old forester's house for years – something like that shapes you. We're probably rather reserved people, but enjoy being in company, love cooking together, will happily sit around a campfire even in March, but also appreciate wordless moments, small hikes, we like trees, spaghetti with tomato sauce, and we can really roll up our sleeves when needed. I understand French reasonably well. Besides my subjects German and history (upper secondary school), I also teach philosophy, theater and music, and I love my job. Canoeing and climbing are hobbies, though I rarely get around to them. For fun, I regularly write newspaper articles about plays and concerts (HNA). I'm naturally hoping for people who also have little people like my daughter. But we are fundamentally open, even to unusual experiences, as long as we're shown a minimum of warmth and welcomed kindly. I'm happy to work more than 4 hours a day, as long as my daughter is well involved and happily looked after. As a young person I loved traveling around the world; today I prefer traveling to people rather than to exotic places.
