A break in nature in exchange for help in the garden 🌿

Description

We are an open-minded, nature-loving family with two children, ages 7 and 9, living on a beautiful farmstead in the northwestern region of Hanover. Our home includes a property of just under 5,000 m², directly adjacent to a scenic conservation area—with plenty of nature, open space, and peace and quiet. And as beautiful as a large property is, it also requires work. 😊 Especially now, as summer comes to an end and we look ahead to fall, we have quite a bit of pruning and garden maintenance to do. That’s why we’re looking for help starting in September in exchange for room and board. Here’s where we need your help 🌳 The main tasks here include: - Trimming hedges - Pruning shrubs and bushes - Gathering and clearing away clippings - Minor general gardening tasks as needed We’d appreciate about 3 hours of help per day. Your own little guest house 🏡✨ And now for the part that might make your stay with us a truly lovely little getaway: On our property, there’s a beautiful, separate guest house that’s all yours during your stay. The house is located in its own section of our property, slightly set apart from our main home. This gives you your own private retreat, plenty of privacy, and lots of space to yourself. The guesthouse features: - A living room with a fireplace - A cozy sleeping area - A private bathroom - A small kitchenette - Floor heating - Wi-Fi The bed measures 1.40 m x 2.00 m. If you’re traveling as a couple, please keep this in mind. If needed, we can also provide you with a 1.40 m air mattress. Otherwise, everything you need to feel right at home for a few days—or even longer—is provided. Meals are not included. With your own small kitchenette, you can take care of your own meals completely independently and plan your day however you like. You can do your laundry here (if needed). You should enjoy physical work and feel confident using gardening tools—or be confident that you can learn how to use them quickly. Above all, it’s important to us that you can work independently, take initiative, and be responsible. Of course, we’ll show you everything at the beginning and explain the tasks involved.. After that, however, you should be able to handle your tasks largely on your own, since we’ll be going about our normal daily work routine even during your stay. In your free time, you can relax here, enjoy nature, read, hike, explore the surrounding area, or simply take a few days away from your everyday life. Hanover is about a 35-minute drive away, and Steinhuder Meer is about 25 minutes away. Since we live in a very rural area, having your own car is highly recommended. Timeframe & Stay We’re looking for help from September through late fall.
