Hello, we've already had a wonderful experience here with the lovely Gisela and are looking again : in October 2026 for about 10 days (the exact dates aren't fixed yet) and in April/May 2027 for 3 weeks, and also every now and then (our previous cat sitter has finished her studies and is working - so no more time), for a kind, empathetic woman with cat experience to look after our senior tomcat and the house. We live near Lutherstadt Wittenberg, pretty much halfway between Berlin and Leipzig. Our furry friend is an easy-going old gentleman who loves his outdoor time. There wouldn't be much to do : feeding, cuddling, opening the door when he wants in or out, and bringing him inside in the evening, since he's not supposed to stay out at night. There's no litter box to clean, as he does his business outdoors. Watering the plants in the house once a week and emptying the mailbox daily - that's all there is to do. It's also important to note that we're not looking for someone who just puts food down and leaves; of course our cat can be alone for 5-6 hours when he's outside, that's no problem. But he shouldn't be left alone all day, since he pops by regularly to collect his treats and cuddles. We offer a stay in our lovely, modern house (with garden and terrace) in the guest room with bathroom/WC. The kitchen and living room can of course also be used. Fiber-optic connection for fast internet is available. There are shops in the village, and a train station is nearby (within walking distance). A bicycle is happily provided. It would be great if someone could be found this way. We look forward to nice messages; everything else can be discussed in a personal conversation.
