Update August 9, 2026: We wish all our past and future visitors a wonderful summer and look forward to new, exciting encounters—and perhaps even a reunion :-) We have openings again and are happy to offer dates starting in late January/early February 2027 by arrangement. By the way: thanks to our positive experience, we’ve launched another project—“Villa Eifelwerk” in Germany, located in the Eifel region, near the borders of Luxembourg and Belgium. It’s a peaceful place and a gathering spot for shared activities on the grounds and in the buildings. The oldest part of the main building is over 200 years old. We want to preserve this part of the building and the grounds in their historical state. The former owners renovated it in a more modern style, which we intend to change back. In particular, the park was reduced to nothing more than a comfortable grass lawn—devoid of life for animals, insects, and other creatures. Many elements, both inside and outside, will be renovated, rebuilt, expanded, and transformed into natural gardens, a kitchen garden, and other concepts we’re exploring. We enjoy working with positive people—those who are attentive and mindful of their surroundings. Mindful awareness… Starting the day with a smile, laughing throughout the day, and ending with a smile gives us the energy for our projects, for life, and for connecting with others… ——– This is a long-term project in beautiful Normandy (Calvados). People who are looking for a retreat and/or want to have a good time through shared activities and connection. Want to experience new things, shared activities in the region, sightseeing, motorcycle rides, the coast, the Loire, cooking, good conversations around the campfire, etc., etc. Simply have fun with non-judgmental communication, life, and the exchange of cultural customs. Learn languages…. We come from a background in consulting, teaching, and coaching, with many years of experience in business development and personal development/change. We may be able to offer support. Our personal goal is to learn something new every day, get to know the diversity of people and cultures, and, of course, their thoughts and opinions. Simply to enjoy life and have fun with communication and sharing experiences. 4.9/ 5Ich durfte eine Woche in der Closerie de la Paix bei Hartmut und Lara verbringen. Mit grosser Gastfreundschaft wurde ich dort aufgenommen und sie haben sich super um mich gekümmert. Das gemeinsame & rücksichtvolle Kochen macht Spass und zeigt, wie Nachhaltigkeit aussehen kann. Ich wurde mit frischen Zutaten vom Markt und der Boulangerie verwöhnt und hatte viele schöne und offene Gespräche mit meinen Mitbewohnern. Der Ort ist sehr idyllisch gelegen und der grosse Garten ist perfekt, um zur Ruhe zu kommen. Auch für Schlechtwetterprogramm gibt es viele Möglichkeiten (Billard, Kino, Spiele). Auch Ausflüge von der Closerie aus sind möglich und ich wurde sogar mehrmals an den Bahnhof gefahren. Die Arbeit im Garten macht Spass, ich konnte sogar noch etwas lernen über Kräuter :). Es bleibt trotz der Arbeit viel Freizeit, in der man die Normandie geniessen kann. Insgesamt war mein Aufenthalt sehr bereichern und inspirierend. Ich konnte viel mitnehmen für mich und es war sicherlich nicht mein letzter Besuch in der Normandie. Nochmals Vielen Dank für Alles Hartmut und Lara!
Liebe Elisa, danke für die super Bewertung! Wir haben Dich sehr gerne hier gehabt und die gemeinsame Zeit genossen. Es freut uns sehr, dass es Dir gefallen hat und Du uns tatkräftig bei unseren Arbeiten unterstützt hast. Unsere Wellenlänge war sehr ähnlich in Bezug auf Achtsamkeit und Nachhaltigkeit. Ich hatte in diesem Jahr das Glück, die „Closerie De La Paix“ in der Normandie nicht nur einmal, sondern gleich zweimal besuchen zu dürfen. Später im Jahr führte mich mein Weg außerdem zur Villa Malbergweich in Deutschland. Beide Orte haben meinen Blick für nachhaltiges Leben und wertvollen Austausch bereichert. Die „Closerie De La Paix“ ist ein Ort, der Menschen zusammenführt, die Freude an Garten-, Upcycling-, leichte Restaurationsarbeiten, Begegnung und wertungsfreiem Austausch haben. Hier muss man kein Experte sein – es gilt das Prinzip „Learning by Doing“. Ein absolutes Highlight war das gemeinsame, nachhaltige Kochen. Die frischen Zutaten wurden auf dem Markt eingekauft, und ich hatte die Gelegenheit, regionale Köstlichkeiten wie verschiedene Meeresfrüchte zu genießen. Besonders bereichernd war, wie einfach, nachhaltig und gleichzeitig köstlich Essen zubereitet werden kann. Neben Arbeiten und Kochen bietet die „Closerie De La Paix“ die Möglichkeit, zur Ruhe zu kommen, sich auszutauschen oder von dort aus schöne Ausflüge in die wunderschöne Normandie zu unternehmen. Der Gastgeber hat mich mit tollen Tipps versorgt, die meine Ausflüge bereichert haben. Ein weiteres besonderes Detail: Die beiden Reise-Katzen Souris und Lucky, die das Leben vor Ort bereichern und für eine heimelige Atmosphäre sorgen. Für mich war dieser Aufenthalt weit mehr als ein einfacher Besuch – es ist eine wertvolle Freundschaft entstanden, die ich nicht missen möchte. Mein herzlicher Dank gilt den Gastgebern, die diese wunderbare Zeit möglich gemacht haben. Ich freue mich schon auf meine nächsten Male.
