I grew up with animals, and (since last year, sadly only) one cat lives with me. Cats, dogs, a foster pony, guinea pigs, a pigeon with an injured wing, budgies and even a rescued pair of chickens have accompanied me since my childhood. Old, young, cheeky, shy, affection-craving and also sick animals, who taught me to adapt to the individual needs of a living being and give it space and/or care. After my studies, I worked for two years as a part-time helper at the animal emergency vet in Berlin (though I work in the media industry and have no veterinary knowledge) and also cleaned for years for a lovely couple with cats. I love cuddling with animals, but can also leave them in peace. Cats in particular can be a bit particular about that. Since my first pet sit in 2021, I've looked after dogs, horses, cats, chickens & geese and a guinea pig in Sweden, Scotland, France, Spain and Germany. I have a driving licence, enjoy doing sports, and eat little to no meat, in case you don't want that in your fridge. German is my mother tongue, I speak English and Dutch fluently and a little French. I've travelled several continents, partly on my own, and am vaccinated against tetanus, rabies etc. and multiple times against Covid19. Liability insurance is included too. So if you're looking for a solid, calm and pragmatic person 40+ with life experience, we'll probably be a good match. As for my vices: in the evening I sometimes enjoy a cigarette with a glass of gin and tonic in the garden, but I never smoke inside the house, and can also go without completely on request. I'm too old for partying ;). I live in Saxony and would love to go somewhere in nature, very very happily by the sea. Somewhere I can go for long walks with your dog, cuddle with your cat in the evening in the garden or on the couch, away from city life. My wish is to treat each other honestly, respectfully and directly.
