Former farmhouse in the south of France with 2 ha of land

Description

Our charming large house (260m2) is located at the edge of the village, in the hills before the Pyrenees. Everything in the house works and you can live here very comfortably. But renovations still need to be finished. And the large grounds need constant care. Depending on your skills and preferred work, help may be needed with the following tasks: In the house: • Lime-washing the interior walls • Replacing the roof insulation • Dismantling a brick chimney In the garden, depending on the season of course: • Removing rampant blackberry bushes • Building a shelter for sheep and goats • Rehabilitating the 60m2 vegetable garden • Setting up a reed-bed water treatment system behind the house • Fruit harvest in summer/autumn (plums, mirabelles, blackberries, raspberries, figs, grapes...) • Planting and pruning trees In return, for 4-5 hours of help per day (7 days x 4 hours or 5 days x 5 hours), you get a wonderful countryside holiday: sun and peace guaranteed, wonderful hiking and cycling, and it's only an hour to the high Pyrenees. Plus eating like God in France (only fresh farm produce, straight from the region!) - I take care of the meals on the days when you help. Omnivores or veggies. Note: alcohol is only available occasionally here and in (French, i.e.) small glasses. Just introduce yourselves and your expectations and then we'll see if it's a fit! Up to 2 people can be accommodated. Individuals can have a room in the house; for two people there's a caravan on the grounds.
