Discover Brittany with local tips (15 min from the ocean, Wi-Fi,...)

Vacation in Brittany We, Isabelle and Markus (32, 42), are putting our hearts into making our family home in Plaine-Haute near Saint-Brieuc (Brittany) a wonderful place to stay. We’re looking for motivated, open-minded people who’d like to help us out. You’ll stay right here in our house and have your own cozy room and bathroom. A stay of 1 to 2 weeks would be ideal for us. (Unfortunately, we can’t accommodate pets.) We’d appreciate energetic and physically fit helpers—couples are also welcome. We’d like your help for about 4 hours a day—primarily with maintaining the house and the large garden (½ hectare). You can contribute based on your strengths; together we’ll figure out how to divide the tasks as appropriately as possible—always within the scope of the work that needs to be done at the moment. Possible garden maintenance tasks: * Trimming bushes and hedges * Clearing away wood, collecting branches * Tending the vegetable garden * Transplanting plants Possible tasks around the house: * Spackling and painting * Drywall work * Replacing tiles * Running electrical cables (electricians are welcome) :-) * Or other tasks that suit your skills The house has a large, well-equipped kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. Depending on how you feel, we can also take turns cooking—it’s fun and adds variety to our daily routine. A bakery is a 1-minute walk away, and a small supermarket is 5 minutes away. In addition to the work, we’d also like to give you the chance to really get to know Brittany and its culture. We’d love to show you our favorite spots along the coast or go on little trips together around the region, so that you’re not just helping out, but also experiencing the land, the people, and the way of life in Brittany. I, Isabelle, am French and used to teach French as a foreign language in Berlin for many years—so you can authentically improve your French or learn it from scratch if you’d like.
