Holiday in Brittany We, Isabelle and Markus (32, 42), are renovating our family house in Plaine-Haute near Saint-Brieuc (Brittany) with lots of heart. For this we're looking for motivated, open-minded people who'd like to support us. You'll live right in the house with us and have your own cosy room and bathroom. A stay of 1 to 2 weeks would be ideal for us. (Unfortunately, we can't take in animals.) We're grateful for energetic and fit helpers, couples welcome too. We'd like your support for about 4 hours a day – above all with maintaining the house and the large garden (½ hectare). You can contribute your strengths; together we'll figure out how to distribute the tasks as fittingly as possible – always within the scope of the work that's currently pending. Possible tasks around the garden and outdoors * trimming bushes and hedges * tidying up wood, collecting or chopping branches * felling trees (if you have chainsaw experience 😉) * tending the vegetable garden * transplanting plants * painting the gate and doors Possible tasks around the house * drywall work * filling and painting * replacing tiles * running electrical cables * or other tasks that suit you The house has a large, well-equipped kitchen where you can cater for yourself. Depending on our mood, we can also take turns cooking – that's fun and brings variety into everyday life. A bakery is 1 minute on foot, a small supermarket 5 minutes. Besides the work, we'd also like to give you the chance to really get to know Brittany and its culture. I, Isabelle, am French and used to teach French as a foreign language in Berlin for many years – so you can authentically improve your French or learn it from scratch. We're also happy to show you our favourite spots on the coast or take little trips into the region together, so you don't just help, but also experience the land, people and way of life of Brittany.
