To the middle of nowhere and back

Now we (my 11-year-old son, 5 cats, a growing female dog and I) have (almost) survived our 1st winter here in the middle of nowhere, the topic of "keeping the house warm" can move into the background and I can devote myself more to the upcoming projects again... I've been renovating the house over the last 4 years - but it's not finished yet. It stands in the middle of nowhere just before Usedom: located outside the village with one neighboring house (there are 3 sheep, chickens, a rooster, 1 dog there), only a sandy track leads to us, around us there are only fields, the forest isn't far away... Pure nature. I can use help both on the construction site and generally around the property: - Drywall in the bathroom and other rooms, bathroom fitting, installing roof windows, planing, milling and laying floorboards. - Sanding, lyeing and soaping floorboards, whitewashing walls. - Laying water pipes, sewage etc. - Completing the electrics. - Working on doors, building and fitting door frames. - Bricking up a porch, fitting a door. - Building a conservatory. - Building new stable doors. - Building a fieldstone wall and creating beds. Maintaining the garden. - Knocking away the old terrace. - Repairing the fence. - Dirty work in the barn. - and not to forget: building up an ample supply of firewood for next winter.... A long list.... But alone it feels even longer. Spring is approaching, things can move on. 😊 I can offer you a nice pitch for campervans right by the field, or a large family tent on the property. Or a room in the attic, if I get it finished by then. I do have running water - but not hot yet, as the bathroom isn't finished. At the moment we use the tub with a wood-fired boiler in the not-yet-kitchen. When it's warm, we shower under the garden shower... Or the bathroom will be finished by then. Outside there's a compost toilet for the summer. I have electricity. Internet too (but modest). Everything is very simple - but lovely, relaxed and grounded.... 😊 Maybe we'll have chickens by then too. Let's see how everything turns out.
