Car-Free Island of Baltrum, Close to the Beach

This offer applies to our spacious home on the East Frisian island of Baltrum and is valid from July 1, 2026, through July 14, 2026, and starting September 8, as needed! AND very important: This text is absolutely not meant to imply that anyone has to do all these tasks at the same time! It’s much more about a purely personal collaboration as equals, where we work together every day to see where the greatest need lies in our family life—and if there’s nothing to do, then you can just relax and head to the beach. Do you love adventure, the sea, the beach, wide-open spaces, fresh starts, and the tranquility of nature? We’ll provide you with this setting for free, and we could really use your help setting up and designing our big house, which we want to completely renovate and customize for ourselves! And on the side, you can totally relax, hang out on the beach, and meet interesting people! Does that sound good to you? Then come join us on the beautiful, car-free island of Baltrum! We’re a lively family with two very special children (autism & ADHD), and we’re looking for someone who enjoys pitching in with daily life, helping to shape things, and sharing in the excitement. Rigidly following instructions is boring. We want you to be part of the whole picture! Why you’ll feel right at home with us: Your spot by the dunes: You’ll live in your own fully equipped apartment—just 2 minutes from the beach. You’ll have your own space with a bathroom and kitchen, so you can unwind in peace after spending time with the family. And if cooking is your thing… since we’re often swamped by the daily family chaos, we’d be thrilled if you took the reins in the kitchen. We’ll eat together, laugh together, and plan our next steps together. Your meals would, of course, be completely included! Pure island bliss: No car noise, just the sound of the waves. In addition to your own self-contained apartment with a bathroom and kitchen, we’ll provide you with a bike and, of course, free Wi-Fi so you can fully enjoy the island in your free time. Where we need your help: We’re currently moving into the house, and our three-year-old can’t attend the local preschool just yet—so there’s an incredible amount to do on a personal level. During this time, everyday tasks like doing the family laundry, keeping our living space clean, and, above all, keeping an eye on our children would be especially important. Who’s a good fit for us: We’re looking for someone with a big heart and an open communication style. Due to our family situation and some past negative experiences, we’d prefer a female helper who has a good rapport with our children and can enrich the atmosphere in our home.
