Farm in the Southern Jura, Timeout Project

Hello, green angels, and good day! My name is Norah-Heidi, and I live on a small, beautiful “ferme” on the edge of the forest in the French Southern Jura. If you need a break—with a little structure and something to keep you busy—this could be the perfect place for you on “Holiday4 Help.” I’ve awakened this “little gem”—a small farmhouse well over a hundred years old—from its slumber and renovated it with a lot of dedication, love, hard work, friends, and YouTube. And in the process, I’ve learned a lot about renovating—and about myself. Now, of course, the little farmhouse needs to be kept up. But after a health setback last year, I still need some help in the garden, on the farm, with tree care, repairs, or anything my back can’t—or won’t—handle just yet. I’m well on my way to recovery, though, and I can even laugh at my occasional mishaps when things don’t go as planned. Your stay includes: 1 beautiful room with a workspace/computer and endless books, or a spot for your camper. Full board—a hearty breakfast, a simple lunch, and dinner under the plane trees. (You’ll be well fed!) I’m a vegetarian, but I’m happy to throw a piece of meat on the grill for you. I’m a non-smoker, but I don’t mind if you smoke outside. The area here, with all its lakes and hills, is perfect for hiking, biking, kayaking (two kayaks are available), and for exploring the rich, historic Burgundy region; the many local markets are charming—just relax and unwind in nearby St. Amour at a café or bar. Reading, playing music (there’s a piano), enjoying the garden, sitting by the fire in the evening—all of that is possible. (I have a good library.) In St. Amour/Les-Trois-Châteaux (5 minutes from here), there’s tennis, a swimming pool, cafés and bars, a library, a hardware store, and everything your heart desires. I look forward to your support.
