Finca in the north of La Gomera (Canary Islands)

Description

My finca is located in a quiet, green setting, right on the edge of the forest. I’ve been living here for 8 years, and for some time now I’ve made significant progress toward self-sufficiency. I’ve now set up a few places for guests to stay, and I’d like to expand the vegetable gardens so that more people can enjoy good food. There are lots of chickens here, and I’d be happy if you know anything about raising rabbits so I can get started and learn how to do it. There’s plenty to build here, to farm, and to create beautiful things. There’s plenty of space to relax and unwind. Right now, I’m building an outdoor sauna with a bath, an outdoor kitchen, a grill area, an oven for pizza and bread, an outdoor sleeping area, and more. Hiking trails are right around the corner. I live here in the mountains, at an elevation of about 650 to 700 meters. It’s a 20-minute drive to the sea. Here in the north, summers are very mild and pleasant (15 to 28 degrees, rarely any rain, sometimes cloudy). In winter (December through April), it’s cool (10 to 20 degrees, sometimes up to 25) and quite rainy. What makes this place special is the lush greenery, the absolute silence and seclusion, and the clear, fresh air. If you’re looking for hustle and bustle and crowds, this isn’t the place for you. You can stay in the “Bärchenhöhle” (Bear’s Den). It’s a bear-shaped structure built sustainably from clay-rich material. It features a shower, toilet, kitchen, refrigerator, table, seating area, loft bed, and wood-burning stove. Very rustic, cozy, and simple. I’d appreciate it if you could help me out for 2 hours a day. Meals are not included. The accommodation has a small but fairly well-equipped kitchen.
