Description

As a community, we run a biodynamic farm in Norway. We are three families, with and without children, and lots of volunteer helpers and interns. On the farm there are dairy cows, arable farming, a market garden, working horses, a few chickens and a guesthouse. Since we only took over the farm in 2022, a lot is still being built up here and some things have already settled into a routine :) One challenge that has been with us from the beginning is managing the shared lunch for everyone who lives and works here. That's why this year we're specifically looking for a person or a couple/family who enjoys cooking and thus provides the whole team with a warm and nourishing meal. We have a professional kitchen – bright, big and well equipped. We have super good vegetables and berries, meat and milk from our animals, our own grain and flour, and everything we can't grow ourselves we buy from an organic wholesaler. We try to eat as seasonally as possible and use as much of our own produce as we can. The team consists of 10-20 people, depending on the season. When there are many mouths to feed, interns are happy to help with the chopping. In exchange, we offer a farm holiday just as you'd imagine it. Visiting the animals, delicious food – there's always something going on and lots of hustle and bustle on the farm, or depending on the season you can unwind while snow hiking, skiing, going for walks or lying in the hammock in the orchard. Accommodation is available in a shared flat or – if available at the time – a small private apartment with a view of the lake. Oh yes, the lake is just a roll down the hill :) We look forward to hearing from you!
