Gutshaus in Ahrendsee - MV

Description

Hello out there, we threw ourselves into an adventure and in 2021 bought a manor house with a park and a small forest near Stralsund. In the meantime, together with our tenants (my sister with her wife and dog Ludwig, and a family with 3 children), we keep a small flock of chickens (which was just reduced to 0 by a marten). In addition to our dear IDA, a black-and-white terrier mix, two bee colonies are among the residents. We work – depending on the weather and our mood – in the park, garden, forest and house and have made good progress: the vegetable bed is laid out, trees have been felled and firewood chopped, bushes, fruit trees and flowers newly planted. But for some projects we need your support, as we can't afford tradespeople for all the trades – even if they had time for it. We still have the following plans, which are now being implemented: the basic restoration of an old building (a former coach house) – the last jobs are still outstanding (painting, fitting sockets, mounting the wooden facade, building a carport), sealing and recommissioning a large swimming pond, building a new chicken coop, capping a large well shaft with a concrete slab, building a covered "Hexentanzplatz" with a baking, grilling and cooking area on an old 100 m2 septic tank, laying irrigation pipes for the park/garden and building a wooden terrace in front of our new sauna. Besides that, there are many smaller "playgrounds", such as restoring 2 garden benches, driving the lawn tractor, smaller earth and planting work, building a bicycle shelter, painting work in the flat, ….. There is surely something for everyone. In our 350 m2 flat there is a lovely large room for you for 2 people with a double bed, wardrobe, sofa and – if desired – also a TV and audio, as well as a guest bathroom with shower. Alternatively, we offer a caravan for 2 people as accommodation. Bicycles are available, plus a stand-up paddle board and two kayaks for trips in the beautiful surroundings or on the Baltic Sea or the Sund. It's 7 km to the nearest bathing spot on the Sund, 10 km to Stralsund, 25 km to Greifswald. We can also offer a pitch for a motorhome, caravan or tent in our park. Of course, you can use all the communal rooms (living room, fireplace room, kitchen, conservatory etc.) with us. We look forward to meeting you and to living and working together (around 4 to 6 hours per day, and you're welcome to work some days and take others off) in our small village, where we feel very much at home. All the neighbours here are helpful and friendly and always up for a chat.
