Location: Castellaro (Flower Riviera, near Sanremo, Italy) Accommodation: Private, fully equipped vacation apartment on-site Timeframe: From now until mid-September. And then again starting in January Do you love the Italian way of life, historic buildings, and the perfect blend of mountains and the sea? Then this project will be your next adventure! I (45, female, with a rabbit 🐰) fell in love last year with a small, abandoned manor house in the picturesque mountain village of Castellaro—right across from the “little castle,” with breathtaking views and absolute tranquility. To preserve the charm of the historic town center, I’d like to keep as much of the original structure as possible (floors, windows, doors). But the house desperately needs some TLC—and a lot more electrical outlets! 🧱 Who I’m looking for: Ideally, a well-coordinated, handy duo (e.g., two strong men) who can roll up their sleeves and aren’t afraid of heavy solid-wood furniture and appliances. 📋 The tasks: Moving help: Transport the kitchen, furniture, and appliances (oven, washing machine, dishwasher) from a basement in Sanremo to Castellaro. Take bulky waste to the collection point on the main street. Demolition & Preparation: Tear down a thin wall and remove the construction debris. Interior Finishing: Drywall installation, plastering, and spackling. Restoration: Sand down window frames and wooden furniture (in preparation for painting). Smoking is allowed on the construction site; in the living quarters, please smoke only on the terrace. A delivery van is available. Starting in January: Painting: Prime, paint, and partially wallpaper the walls. Tiling: Install floor and wall tiles in the bathroom.
