House near Berlin would love an extra pair of hands

Hello there, We offer you (one person or two) a lovely spot in the Oderbruch, east of Berlin, in our weekend house. We're currently fixing it up ourselves — renovation work is being done, and a helping hand is welcome. Individuals or a couple would work. You'll get a full fridge, hot water, toilet, washing machine and shower — everything you'd like for a stay that's as comfortable as possible. The house has air conditioning as heating and a good old tiled stove. So heat sources are available. Wi-Fi is of course available too. Up to 5 hours of work on 5 days would be nice. After that I'd keep working myself, even while you're in the house. That's okay. Additionally, we can also offer a room in Berlin-Mitte. You can stay there if you need a bit of city life in between or just fancy a change. —————— Background: We're a Berlin family (married couple, two kids) and bought the little house a few years ago. Since then we've been renovating it bit by bit, as time allows. —————— What needs doing: I'm currently working on the following projects: • removing an old ceiling: your help would be carrying the demolition material outside and making sorted piles (I've already dismantled other ceilings myself, it was easy) • raising walls: your help would be, for example, mixing mortar, carrying bricks — everything needed is of course on hand, like a cement mixer, sand, cement, water, ladder, tools • building new ceilings with tongue-and-groove boards: your help would be e.g. bringing boards in from outside, handing me screws etc. • installing a vapour barrier + insulation panels: your help would be bringing the insulation panels in from outside If it gets warmer, I'd also like to finish the terrace. Most of it is prepared — it's "only" about compacting, spreading gravel and laying slabs. Whether that's possible remains to be seen, as it's secondary. But if you feel like it, you can also actively work on that yourself. I usually do the work alone and by myself. I'm 'easy-going' and sometimes I stay overnight in the house in my own room. There's another heated room for you. On other days you have the house to yourself. We'll see how it goes. I could use support with the tasks mentioned above, and it's also a good way to get to know each other. It doesn't matter whether you're also from Germany and want to experience something new, or whether you come from another country. In that case we'll also show you Berlin, and can help with the German language if you'd like to learn it.. If you enjoy getting things done, you're a perfect fit for us. I'm not a trained craftsman myself — I taught myself everything step by step. For specific questions about materials, I know where to find information. The work itself does have to be done at the current low temperatures though, because it's self-explanatory: if a room doesn't have a ceiling yet, above it is an uninsulated attic with the corresponding temperature.
