Hello, we’re Mary and Peter, an older couple, and we live in Pêra—in the sunny Algarve region of Portugal—with our lovable Labrador mix, Rocky. Our little village is surrounded by nature, and the ocean—with its kilometer-long sandy beach—is about a 30-minute walk away. Albufeira and Armação de Pêra are just a 10-minute drive away. Come as you are. We speak German and English and look forward to having you as an authentic, cheerful support in our daily lives, including: Walking Rocky, cooking or preparing meals, grocery shopping and running errands, trips to the doctor, and everything else that’s part of everyday life. You’ll share these tasks with Mary, so it’s important to us that you get along well with her. Our daily routine is structured and relaxed, yet spontaneous. Rocky is a sweet dog who gets along well with new people. Due to our living situation, this opportunity is only suitable for a single female. Duration: Starting immediately. At least 3 months. General Conditions: Flexible working hours, approx. 4–6 hours per day; exact schedule can be arranged. Two days off per week. Driver’s license required. What to expect: Friendly hosts, your own room with a balcony and ocean view. The bathroom is shared when guests are visiting. Meals included. Depending on what we agree upon, a car will be available to you during the day; in the evenings and at night, you’ll arrange your own transportation, e.g., via Uber.
