Help in Swedish Lapland 2026

Hi everyone :) Four years ago, my boyfriend Jonas (41) and I (Nadja, 36) moved to Swedish Lapland. Together with our six dogs, we now live and work here in the beautiful north and enjoy nature to the fullest at all times. In the summer of 2025, we had great help from a super-nice Swiss couple with the renovation of our guesthouse. We’ve managed to get most of it done. In the summer of 2026, another couple from Germany helped us, and the Swiss couple from the previous year came to visit us again :) Now we’re looking for a few helping hands for the period from September through the end of November 2026. We’d like to finish the second floor of the guesthouse and put up a dog fence in the forest (only possible as long as there’s no snow ;) For this, we’re looking for kind-hearted people (preferably handymen or those skilled with their hands) to help us out. We expect about 4–5 hours of help per day, depending on what we agree on, your interest, and the time frame. We’re very flexible about this. We offer a cute little guest cottage or a guest room with a double bed for up to 2 people, as well as two to three meals a day. You’ll have the opportunity to go on various excursions—either together or on your own—and explore Swedish nature on foot, by kayak, SUP, or bike. Fishing, swimming, cuddling with the dogs—no problem at all ☺️ Trips to Scandinavia’s largest rapids, the Arctic Circle, Jokkmokk, nature parks, etc., are also possible. What kind of work is planned:   • Dog run in the forest (still need to put up 200–300 m of fence) Guesthouse • Painting/wallpapering bedrooms • Sanding/laying floors • Insulating the entryway • Minor painting jobs • Installing wainscoting Additional tasks/opportunities for fellow travelers: • Picking berries • Making jam • Gathering firewood/stacking wood • Trimming bushes • Light gardening Our idea is to learn a lot of new things and, for the most part, get our hands dirty in exchange for a wonderful time with us. Given the long journey by bus, train, plane, or car, it definitely makes sense to come for an extended period or to combine your stay with a trip. Stays of 1–4 weeks are possible. We’re looking for volunteers for the fall/winter of 2026. Maybe we’ll find some great people here who are interested? We’re already looking forward to hearing from you.
