Historic farmstead in a village between Kassel and Marburg

Description
On our listed half-timbered farmstead from 1858 in northern Hesse, we run a pottery and a lovely, bright holiday apartment. We have a large, maintenance-intensive property with several levels, a courtyard area, a vegetable garden and a leisure garden. The holiday apartment, renovated according to building-biology principles, is on the first floor above the pottery. It has its own entrance via the balcony, which offers a wonderful view over the Kellerwald. There are two bedrooms, a large kitchen-living room and a lovely bathroom with natural light. We'd be happy to welcome 1 to 2 active people who'd like to take a holiday here and support us around the house and farm in return. This involves mowing the lawn, pulling weeds, watering the garden and greenhouse, and looking after the animals. House cleaning including windows would also be on the list. And likewise the final cleaning after your stay. For a fair exchange, the workload should be around 2.5 to 3 hours per person/night, preferably in the mornings. There's a dairy farm in the neighbourhood, so during feeding and harvest times there are the corresponding machine noises. There are many lovely destinations for outings in the nearby area, easy to reach by bike too, e.g. the Kellerwald, the castle or the outdoor pool in Jesberg. You can find more photos on AirBnB and our homepage.
