Hof am Siel in Overwarfe (south of Bremerhaven)

Description

We are currently converting an old farm with a large pasture south of Bremerhaven, in order to later run children's and youth camps and cultural events there through a non-profit association, and we need helpers for this. Possible areas of work include: mowing the lawn, trimming hedges, painting gates, laying paths, demolition, renovation, bricklaying, ... Bicycles and overnight accommodation in tents are available, as are pitches for camper vans. By bike you can reach the sandy beach and the Weserperle in Dedesdorf in about 10 minutes, or in the other direction the tide-independent bathing spot on the Alte Weser. By car, you're about 10 minutes from the Bohmsiel shopping park in the south of Bremerhaven, which you can also reach by bus. The tourist attractions of Bremerhaven can be reached by car in a maximum of 20 minutes. If you've had enough of the rural idyll, you'll find regular events and lovely restaurants there in the Schaufenster Fischereihafen or the Havenwelten, live music in the Alte Bürger, in the Beet, in the Shiva, in the Kulturwerkstatt behind Alberts Huus and in the Pferdestall, or club nights at the Apollo. You can go swimming indoors and outdoors, go waterskiing and canoeing, or take boat tours through the harbours. The Auswandererhaus and Klimahaus and numerous museums await your visit. Glowinggolf, laser tag or bowling are also on offer in Bremerhaven. You can also enjoy great shopping in the pedestrian zone, the Columbus Center or the Moin Outlet.
