We're looking for volunteers for our small and warm-hearted Guesthouse Al Medina in the enchanting old town of Bizerte. If you appreciate good food, hospitality and a family-like working environment, you're in exactly the right place with us. Whether at breakfast, at reception or preparing the guest rooms – your support makes a real difference. 🛏️ What awaits you - Your own room in the Medina, only about a 5-minute walk from the beach, market and harbour - A maximum of 6 hours of work per day, 5 days per week - Minimum stay: 4 weeks - Accommodation is provided - Food: 80 TND per week food allowance - You may of course keep tips from satisfied guests 🌱 Diet A vegetarian diet is no problem at all. A vegan diet is unfortunately genuinely difficult due to a lack of alternatives locally. Your tasks - Preparing breakfast for our guests - Cleaning and preparing guest rooms - Support at reception - Helping with other tasks that come up in the guesthouse What matters to us: We want you to feel at home with us. If you show initiative and want to develop further, we're happy to give you the chance to learn more about the tourism and hotel industry. In return, we ask that you treat our guesthouse with care, keep your room tidy and think along in everyday life. Honest and respectful interaction with one another is particularly important to us. Problems should be raised directly and kindly so they can be resolved. Gossip, drama and unnecessary conflicts don't fit our atmosphere. Safety and respect Women travelling alone in particular should feel safe with us. We select our volunteers carefully and tolerate no disrespectful or inappropriate behaviour whatsoever – regardless of gender. At the same time, it's important to know that we are in Tunisia. Female tourists are sometimes approached in public spaces. That's why we explain simple rules of conduct for outside the guesthouse to our female volunteers on arrival. With common sense and a bit of awareness, however, everyday life here can be managed easily and safely. Who we're looking for: We welcome people who are motivated, reliable and team players. A good work ethic, initiative and the willingness to do their part in living together are decisive for us. We're looking for volunteers who don't just want to enjoy a cheap stay, but who genuinely want to get involved and spend a lovely time together with us.
