Description
Hello! Work exchange holidays are still new to me, but I think the concept and idea are great and I would love to gain new experiences this way and meet new, likeable people! I would most like to help out at a riding stable, stud farm or farm, but I'm generally very flexible and open to anything (though working with and around animals would be important to me)! So you know who you're dealing with, I'd like to introduce myself briefly (or a bit longer 😉): I'm Michaela, 38 years old, and I live in Austria, about an hour's drive south of Vienna. I grew up around and with animals; I spent large parts of my childhood on my school friend's farm with pigs, cows, bulls, cats and chickens, where I experienced pretty much everything farm life has to offer. Over the years, our family has also lived with various animals (guinea pigs, a rabbit, a tomcat, a female dog, a dormouse, sheep, chickens and two Haflinger geldings). I started riding at about 8 and completed my rider's pass and riding badge at about 14. After many years of only riding very sporadically, I recently started riding regularly again at a nice western riding stable. But it's not just horses I've fallen for – another great love is a friend's dog (a rescue), whom I regularly have with me and look after. So I have no fear whatsoever of horses or other animals (except maybe slugs 😉), and all kinds of physical (stable) work, harvest help, haymaking etc. are familiar to me. And I'm generally happy to make myself useful, whether in the household or in the garden, and also with helping hands in the holiday/tourism sector! If you happen to be renovating or converting, I'm happy to pitch in too! I renovated my own apartment (with help) myself, so I'm no professional here either, but I'm on first-name terms with all the odd jobs around it! I also really enjoy childcare and entertaining kids – among my friends I like to look after the little ones as their "chosen aunt"! Otherwise, I'm funny (maybe a tiny bit shy at first, but certainly not for long), patient, honest, absolutely easy-going and up for any fun! I would be delighted to hear from you and to meet you in person! Warm greetings from Lower Austria! Michaela
