Dear travellers, dear Holiday4helpers We need help so that we can manage all the work with inner attentiveness and care. This is for the period from March to October each year. There's always a lot going on at the mill; many people from different countries make a shorter or longer stopover here on their travels, which has to be made possible through cleaning, ironing, baking, tending the grounds and conversations. In addition, work outside in farming, in the garden, in the forest or with the animals. The mill stands on its own and yet is integrated into village life, nestled in fields, water and forest and yet part of world events. We originally come from Switzerland and have lived in this place for 10 years. We'd like a work commitment of at least 3 weeks at a stretch or a few months, 5 weekdays at 6 hours each, in exchange for board and lodging. We enjoy working and see it as a contribution to shaping a humane future. We treat the animals with warmth, plants and soil likewise. We farm biodynamically, but are not certified — out of conviction. In the kitchen and household we use almost exclusively organic products; products from the region from producers we know are also welcome. Our guests often eat with us in the evenings (table d’hôtes), accompanied by lively conversations in which there should be no taboos. A permanent practice ground for leaving room for other views. We cook vegetarian or with meat, depending on our guests' wishes. We look forward to enquiries. It would be ideal if someone even wanted to spend a few months with us and really immerse themselves in mill life. It's also conceivable, in addition to the work at the mill, to offer e.g. Shiatsy, Jin Shin Jyutsu, Ayurvedic or Rhythmic or Eurythmy massage to the guests for relaxation. Why not? There's always something to keep the mill wheel turning!
