Sustainable farm project with a large natural garden

Hello you! US: We're a couple in our mid-thirties and recently bought a large farm in need of renovation, set on a wonderful natural plot with countless fruit trees. The whole place lies right at the edge of the fields in a very small, quiet village with friendly people. Within a radius of just 20 km there's plenty to discover, from relaxing by the lake to hiking, culture and good food. Although our farm is very quiet and rural, we're also very easy to reach by train. The direct line to Leipzig runs through the neighboring village, and in the other direction you can get to Hof, Regensburg and München with just 1 change. — We live here, the two of us, with our dog, who is equally happy about other animal-loving people as well as other dogs. All kinds of tasks come up here and we learn something new every day. Whether it's making our natural garden more beautiful and/or more usable, growing our own organic vegetables, various seasonal harvesting and preserving tasks, or activities in the area of sustainability and nature conservation. In the main house and the other buildings, it's step by step about renovation and, for the most part, complete refurbishment – but always about repair and maintenance. YOU: Are you an open-minded, positive, nature-loving person who wants to learn new skills or apply existing ones? — Then we'd be delighted to have your hands-on, creative and reliable support! — We've already volunteered ourselves at two places as part of holiday for help stays, so we can put ourselves in your shoes as a volunteer quite well. We're happy to put the positive things we experienced into practice ourselves, and we try to do better on the aspects we found negative. In any case, we're always open to talking about conditions and mutual expectations. The time together should be enriching for both sides! Our ideas are roughly like this: You're coming with your own camper, van or tent? — Perfect – a great (pitch) spot with a wide view at the edge of our orchard will be yours! In return, we'd like 1.5 hours of daily help from you (5 days per week) if you only use this pitch for your own vehicle / tent. Shared use of the bathroom is included here as well. In addition, for 2.5 hours per day we also offer a warm main meal (Monday – Friday), which we all eat together in the evening. Cooking and eating is always vegetarian, mostly vegan. If you don't have your own vehicle to stay in, we can offer you our self-converted, cozy van (VW CRAFTER) as accommodation. Maybe you've always wanted to get a taste of this way of life anyway? Wide views over the fields, parked at the edge of our orchard, included! Alternatively, during the summer months we offer you the chance to sleep in our great, huge half-timbered barn (see picture). Up on the intermediate floor there's a fantastic sense of space and you'll have lots of privacy. Otherwise, we can offer a simply furnished small room. The shared warm main meal in the evening (Mon-Fri) of course remains part of these options too. It's also possible for us to have breakfast together on Saturday, when the baker's van comes through the village! For all of this, we'd like 4 hours of daily help from you (5 days per week). If you'd like to work more, it's of course also possible to get up to three shared meals. It's also possible to add up the working hours over several days to end up with a 3- to 4-day week. As a starting time, we're thinking April or May. A stay of at least one week would be nice; anything shorter would need to be discussed. We look forward to hearing from you!
