Dear Sir or Madam, we are a couple in our early 30s, currently in a conscious phase of reorientation. We have both decided to pursue a part-time degree in social work alongside our jobs, as we want to bring our life experience and values into a helping profession in the future. In parallel, we are looking for a place close to nature where we can learn to live in harmony with nature and contribute to living and working on a farm. Our vision is a long-term partnership as equals: we would like to live and work on a farm for 2–3 years, ideally in exchange for accommodation, meals and possibly a small financial contribution – not as short-term helpers, but as a reliable part of a living community. We bring craftsmanship skills, joy in gardening, household work and a love of animals. A central part of our life is our small, very calm and well-trained rescue dog, who has been with us for years and is part of our family. Life without him would be unthinkable for us – he is friendly, uncomplicated and experienced with farm life. What we're hoping for: • A place where we're allowed to put down roots. • A community or family that lives sustainably and is open to exchange. • The opportunity to help out practically (in the garden, house, with animals, with building etc.). • The freedom to complete our studies online in parallel (approx. 3–4 hours daily). What we bring: • Craftsmanship skills (furniture building, repairs, general construction help), • Experience in the household, cooking, organising, • A respectful attitude towards people, animals and nature, • Willingness to learn, stamina and reliability, • Empathy and humour – even on long days. We believe that people who share similar values can enrich each other – and we are open to becoming part of a farm structure, taking on responsibility and learning a lot ourselves at the same time.
