PARADISE GARDEN

Description

I'm a free spirit of retirement age, German-speaking (emigrated from Switzerland), I also speak English, some French, a little Italian and I'm currently learning Portuguese, because I live in Portugal… or rather, on a little paradise island that belongs to Portugal… In the middle of the Atlantic…, pure nature, a "UNESCO Biosphere", with a mild climate… (The sea is still 19 degrees now in January)!!! That's Porto Santo near Madeira... There I'm in the process of building a paradise garden… The small house has been finished and ready to move into since Aug. 22… There's still plenty of garden space to cultivate and design… In my small house I also have a guest room, plus a tipi tent, and I'm planning to build a wooden garden house as well... However, that may still take a while until I've saved up the money for the materials ... For now, however, it's mainly about help in the garden, which is quite large... It's meant to become a paradise garden... Actually I was expecting visits and helpers from my circle of friends. But because of the current situation, many stayed at home. Yet it was/is an oasis here, especially in these troubled times...quiet, peaceful, pure nature...the best climate for staying healthy... That's why I'm looking forward to more children of nature who enjoy shaping a garden and like being in the quiet, creative, freedom-loving people who love the vastness of the sea and the coziness of a small, manageable island... If I can share the work in the garden with someone, then for me that's also an active holiday...There's still so much beauty here to share...e.g. the wonderful long golden sandy beach, which is an attraction even in winter thanks to the mild climate...for swimming...or simply for a beach walk with "feet in the water"...but the "hinterland and the rugged cliffs" are also paradisiacally beautiful... So at the moment I'm offering holiday in exchange for a helping hand...also to find "like-minded people" who, if we become friends, can also "work for" their next holiday right away)...Creative work together, max. 4h per day and possibly shared free time too...Condition: Prior contact to get to know each other is requested, since we will then be "living under one roof". Duration open... from 2 weeks free board and lodging...Enquiries please by e-mail...(so first get in touch with a short introduction and provide your e-mail) Thank you! ... Ideal for a contemplative "time out"... Winter temperatures here between 15 and 21 degrees...I also offer help with travel organisation... The house construction was delayed ...Sporadically I'm also looking for helpers for craft activities, but I can only ever have one person (or one couple) here at a time (only 1 guest room). So please just enquire and let me know when and for how long you would have time... Then I'll let you know whether someone is already here at that time... Getting to know each other beforehand (online) is however a requirement for me, since I also live in the same house and living together should feel right for me... Thank you! At the moment there are already several enquiries and this year (2022) there may possibly be no more space. But there may still be changes/cancellations...Enquire anyway ... I'm still waiting for definite confirmations... (it may still be possible in December 22 and January 23)..., then again from April 23...
