“Hello World, we’re a young couple who moved to central Portugal in 2023. Here, we’ve launched a project we’ve long dreamed of. We’re in the process of creating a self-sustaining, permaculture-inspired agrotourism quinta. Since we’re still at the very beginning of our project, you have the unique opportunity to be part of it from the start. This means you’re warmly invited to get involved in the various design processes and be part of the organic growth of our infrastructure. We’re building decks, plumbing systems, and many different installations ourselves using local suppliers and natural building materials. These projects are always a great opportunity to learn about woodworking, electricity and water supply, and general planning according to the principles of permaculture and fire safety.   There’s also always the chance to garden with us (general maintenance, new garden beds, and a forest garden coming soon) and do landscaping.   Even if you don’t consider yourself “handy,” you’re welcome to join us, learn, teach, and help with our daily tasks. Our property has a stream and a river beach—both are wonderful for swimming and cooling off. In the spring and summer, the nearby Sangemil offers a natural thermal pool. There are several hiking trails right in our area. If you enjoy visiting cities, we’re close to Viseu and Coimbra. We look forward to meeting you—Luca and Sara wish you a pleasant journey!
