Old farmstead by the forest near the Baltic Sea

Hi everyone, for everyone who appreciates simple, rustic living, has few demands when it comes to accommodation and would like to holiday in exchange for helping out right in the middle of nature, I OFFER: – a small room for one or two people with a wood stove in a 150-year-old former wheelwright's workshop right by the forest, five kilometres from the Baltic Sea. – fridge – firewood (must be sawed and split with an axe yourself) – portable cooking plates (2), alternatively a gas stove – Grandma Gila's old purple bathroom with sink, toilet and shower - NO Wi-Fi (but good internet reception via mobile phone) Two folding bikes are available for trips around the area, or alternatively a two-seater tandem can be borrowed. Please bring your own food and bed linen, or depending on how much you feel like working, full board (organic/vegetarian/vegan) is also possible. Hot water only comes from old boilers that need to be preheated. The entire farmstead including the accommodation is in serious need of renovation and has no heating. I'M LOOKING FOR: help for two hours a day with one of the following building projects: #1: Renovation of an old shed (old floor out, new roof, new doors, new windows etc.). #2: Outdoor/garden work. Shovelling soil, clearing the wildlife fence, sawing/splitting wood, etc. WHEN: From May 2026. At least two days, longer is welcome. Everything else by arrangement. ! UPDATE (03.04.2026) : During the first two weeks of June (1.6. – 12.6.2026) there will be a concentrated work phase, for which I'm still looking for helpers for 4-5 hours of work per day. During this phase there will be full organic board. If you'd rather not sleep in the house – there are plenty of spots on the meadow by the forest for tents or campers.
