Hello! I'm a potter and also do illustrations; together with my husband I run a regional organic shop with a garden café in Gingst on the island of Rügen: "Töpferei & feinste Regionalwaren". We live in the west of the island and do various other projects as well: two holiday apartments above our shop, a small participatory shop in the train station in Bergen (the island's capital)… Unfortunately, the CafeTasse project didn't sustain itself and has been ended. In the garden house there are two sleeping spots (bed with a pull-out drawer), electric heating, two hotplates, a sink and a washbowl. There's no running water there; you fetch it from the house in a canister. Toilet, washing machine, fridge and shower are in the house. It's only a few meters to the house. I'll gladly send you pictures of the accommodation so you can get an idea. It's not far to the water; the water here is quite shallow and also a nature reserve, so you can only swim in certain spots, go canoeing and surfing (10km from here). To the open sea with a sandy beach it's a 30-minute drive. You can get a bicycle from us. We can use help with gardening, fruit tree pruning, making firewood, repairing bicycles, garden chairs and the like, painting furniture, helping in the organic shop/garden café, looking after the "little shop in the train station" (here you can also use the time to make your own things on site (painting, writing, threading jewelry, sewing,….) and sell them on the side. Our own daily routines are turbulent, so I don't get around to cooking regularly for everyone. You therefore have to cater for yourselves and receive a voucher for our organic shop.
