Vacation in Exchange for Care – Caring for the Elderly 🌿 Hello, I’m Michaela, 56 years old, and I’m looking for an opportunity to exchange vacation time for care. I have many years of experience working with people. Professionally, I was a hairdresser for many years and then retrained as an office administrator. Today, among other things, I work as a caregiver for older adults and volunteer as a hospice companion. I’m happy to offer my support in caring for and accompanying older adults—for example, keeping them company, having conversations, going for walks together, going on small outings, helping with daily routines, and taking on light household chores. Important: I do not perform nursing tasks. My role is exclusively focused on care, companionship, and light household assistance. I’m looking for a schedule of about 3 hours a day, 4 days a week. In exchange, I’m looking for a place to stay where I can live for a few weeks at first—or even longer—and get to know the area. My hope is to try living there first, get to know the country and its people, and figure out if I can imagine living there long-term and making it my home. I am reliable, warm-hearted, tidy, and responsible. Treating one another with respect and appreciation is very important to me.
