Holiday in Bulgaria - enjoying nature, outdoors all day

Hello! We offer you the chance to camp in our 11,000 sqm garden or park your caravan there. Solar power, WiFi and water from the well are available. Ideally you can do without beautiful bathroom tiles, have no problem using a toilet without a flush, love animals and children, aren't afraid of dirt and creepy-crawlies, enjoy nature and want to eat pesticide-free vegetables and fruit. We have a very varied range of helpful and grounding activities here, so every age group and every skill level is welcome. With us you can recover from the stress of everyday life in our blooming garden, enjoy the sun and get physically active on projects that move us forward as a family. To list a few things you can do here with us: • entertain the kids • keep the beds free of weeds, plant them, check the watering and water if necessary, harvest • possibly plant a tree • remove plants like thistles, rose hips and dwarf elder from the property • produce mulch material with the cordless "sheep" (trimmer) and the mower • cuddle and play with the dogs and cats • watch the chickens and take care of them • prune trees and process them into mulch or firewood • harvest fruit and vegetables, preserve, dry, juice, prepare and eat them, both while picking and later • demolish the old house and collapsed barn, use the material for building the new outhouse, Earthship and more • build a raised bed • build a wood shed • mount solar panels (with wood or galvanised steel on the roof) • drill a well • build an outhouse • lie in the sun or in the shade • splash around in the pool and clean the pool with a pressure washer • build a pool filter • jump on the trampoline • gather wild herbs and process them (e.g. ribwort plantain honey, red oil, sage tea, etc.) • teach us what you know and learn from us • and so much more! About us and our village: We are a family of four, currently with 2 dogs and 2 cats. We are building our little paradise here in Bulgaria. It already consists of over 100 still-small fruit and nut trees, a 40m long greenhouse and lots of work. We already live "off-grid", we pump our water from a well, and for drinking we distil or boil it. We get electricity from our solar panels; only in winter do we sometimes have to use power from outside. We also heat with electricity or, when it's very cold, with wood. Lots of wild herbs grow here, more added year after year, and we grow everything without using pesticides. We eat vegan, though we make an exception for cheese and chocolate, and we are non-smokers. When we're "finished" we'll have a house to live in, a playground, quite a few other buildings (for animals, sports, equipment and producing whatever we come up with), an Earthship, a fruit forest, and we'll be able to supply at least 90% of our own food and medicinal herbs. We live on the southern edge of a village (Irechekovo) with a small shop and a bus connection to the nearest town (Yambol), which is about 25 minutes away. From our place you can reach the sea or the mountains within an hour. We also know two larger lakes for swimming, which doesn't seem to be so common here in Bulgaria; most small lakes here are only for fishing. We believe everyone should simply do as much as they want, and we certainly won't be counting working hours. For meals, there's whatever the land provides and we buy the rest (mainly pasta, flour, etc.). Depending on how many people you show up with, it may be difficult for us to feed everyone at the same time, so you're also welcome to cook. You're welcome to use our kitchen, washing machine and shower. The holiday period can be chosen freely within the stated time. Before and after that, the weather is probably too bad/cold for camping/sleeping outdoors. Ideally you'll bring a tent, as it can easily be placed under the trees in the shade. For caravan/car sleepers, we can help you out with metal poles to stretch something over. This is the first time we're offering "holiday for help", so not everything will run perfectly yet. So we can enrich each other by being open and honest with one another. We're looking forward to meeting you!
