Volunteering in Southern Sicily

Five years ago, my son and I launched our permaculture project in a beautiful villa right on the ocean. Our home is funded by a small hostel and thrives on the vibrant exchange between international guests, volunteers, and local helpers. For our project, we’re looking for dedicated teammates who’d like to lend us a helping hand for a while—in exchange for free lodging in this special place! Your Role with Us We’re looking for hands-on people with heart and mind! Depending on the season and your skills, we support one another with a wide variety of tasks: Garden & Permaculture: Planting, tending, harvesting, and helping to shape our ecological garden. House & Crafts: Minor repairs, maintenance, or creative beautification projects around the villa. Hostel & Daily Life: Pitching in with daily life and welcoming our guests. What You Bring to the Table Drive & Initiative: You see where help is needed and enjoy pitching in. A sense of community: You enjoy living together with others and interacting with people from all over the world. Reliability & Openness: Practical experience (gardening, crafts) is great, but what matters most is your motivation! What You Can Expect Free room and board in our villa by the sea.
