Help in Swedish Lapland 2026

Hello everyone :) Almost 4 years ago my boyfriend Jonas (40) and I (Nadja, 36) emigrated to Swedish Lapland. Together with our 6 dogs we now work and live here in the beautiful north and enjoy nature to the fullest at all times. In summer 2025 we had great help from a super nice Swiss couple with the renovation of our guest house. We got most of it done. Now we're looking for a few helping hands for May, August and September 2026. We might want to convert the second floor of the guest house, put up a dog fence in the forest and build 2-3 spacious dog kennels to give our dogs lots of space and room to run. For this we're looking for lovely people (ideally tradespeople or people skilled with their hands) to help us. We expect around 4-5h of help per day, depending on arrangement, interest and time period. We're very flexible about that. We offer a cute little guest stuga or a guest room with a double bed for max. 2 people as well as two to three meals a day. There's the option of going on various excursions together or on your own and exploring the Swedish countryside on foot, by kayak, SUP or bike. Fishing, swimming, cuddling dogs, no problem at all ☺️ Trips to Scandinavia's biggest rapids, to the Arctic Circle, to Jokkmokk, nature parks, etc. are also possible. What work is planned: • Dog run in the forest (put up approx. 250m of fence) • Build 2-3 dog kennels with platforms • Insulate 2-3 garden houses/sheds Guest house • Replace two windows • Painting/wallpapering the bedroom • Sanding the floor, … • Insulating the entrance area • Smaller painting jobs • possibly wood panelling Other work/options for travel companions: • Picking berries • Making jam • Collecting wood • Trimming bushes • Small gardening jobs • Planting vegetables Our idea is that we learn lots of new things and mostly lend a hand ourselves too, in exchange for a lovely time with us. Given the long journey by bus, train, plane or your own car, it certainly makes sense to come for a longer period or to combine the stay with a trip. Stays of 1-4 weeks possible. We're looking for help in May as well as August and September 2026. Maybe we'll find great people here who are interested? We're already looking forward to all your messages.
